SMART - 3rd strategic meeting between the project partners
On September 22 and 23, 2020 the partners of the project SMART (Smart Museums Alliance Representing Territories) met in Saalfelden (Austria) at Ritzen Castle Museum for a technical and administrative meeting. During these two days, the partnership worked to examine the state of progress of the project activities, to plan future steps, to make an analysis of possible risks and to identify resolutive actions.
The meeting was composed of two sessions: the first, mainly technical, was held on September 22, 2020 with a focus on the ongoing activities, such as the participatory process at the pilot sites involved in the project and the development of multimedia tools; the second was held September 23, 2020 and it was focused on administrative and management aspects.
On the first day, the project partner La Piccionaia, in charge of the participatory process, opened the meeting by presenting the summary of community workshop presentation events held at the pilot sites of Resia (Friuli Venezia Giulia) and Saalfelden (Austria). Both events saw a rich participation by local communities and, in particular, by people with disabilities who, thanks to the presence of a LIS expert, actively participated in the initiative. Subsequently, the independent L. and the University Salzburg partners discussed with the rest of the consortium the technical and innovative aspects of the platform that will host the virtual museum circuit created by the project, with a view to design for all.
The platform will be created using new technologies that will allow an engaging fruition for all, thanks to the possibility to choose and combine different ways of visiting museums, designed to meet the needs of different abilities, ages, backgrounds, as well as motor, sensory and cognitive difficulties.
During the second session, the consortium discussed administrative issues. In particular, the Municipality of Valdagno, leader of the project, recalled the administrative deadlines and defined the modalities for the preparation and presentation of the reports, he updated in real-time the time schedule with the deadlines agreed the previous day and, finally, he planned the future steps. Finally, ALDA+ presented the communication strategy of the project, approved by the whole partnership. You just have to follow us and stay updated!
The meeting became, therefore, an opportunity for the partners to exchange views and to share and plan the project activities. Despite the long period of activity and long-distance meetings, the partnership is even more united and determined to leave its mark on accessible tourism in the Alpine area!
The meeting was held in compliance with safety regulations.
