Francesca Guiotto from Valdagno is the winner of the “Be Smart, Design Logo Competition”!
On June, the selection process for the "Be Smart, Design Logo Competition", organized as part of the European project SMART - Smart Museums Alliance Representing Territories, of which the municipality of Valdagno is the proud leader, and co-financed by the Interreg VA Italy-Austria program of the European Union.
The competition aimed to select a project logo, which publicly identifies the SMART project in its mission and values by representing it throughout Europe.
About 20 applications received, from the Veneto Region and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region: an excellent result in this difficult period, and with excellent proposals with a marked creativity and high quality, thus a big "Thank you!" is due to all participants! Moreover, the participation of young citizens was significant, with an average age recorded between 15 and 30 years.
The selection of the best proposal, by all the project partners, was not easy: the municipality of Valdagno proudly announced in June that the winner of the competition, Francesca Guiotto, is one of its fellow citizens.
"Since SMART is a project highly connected to the theme of the territory and inclusion, to outline these aspects I have positioned two hands that welcome and protect" - says Francesca about her inspiration toward the intrinsic values of SMART and elements characterizing the pilot sites involved in the project: the reflection of the bell tower in Lake Resia, the Saalfelden mountains and the Valdagno Valley crossed by the Agno river. "The mountains of Saalfelden have a double value, as they remind two pencils recalling the strong artistic and creative identity of the project, symbols of an active and evolving creation. Finally, the complete design of the logo proposes the shape of a drop of water, a common element connecting the three pilot sites involved in the project ".
As a prize, Francesca will have the opportunity to participate in the exclusive workshop for the creation of a Silent Play, starting from September 2020 by the project partner La Piccionaia as part of the activities of SMART. The Silent Play is an innovative product, aimed at enhancing the natural and cultural heritage of the municipal area, which sees the collaboration between artists, local experts and citizens to develop a performative, interactive and multimedia itinerary, using different tools from theater, from social research and from community maps to theatrical animation, autobiographical workshop and storytelling.
An important thanks goes of course to all the project partners who, under the coordination of Alda +, contributed to the realization and the success of the competition!
