10. Roving frame

It is used for stretching ribbons, twisting with roving formation and winding on bobbins. The slivers from the feed vessels pass through a drawing mill and are refined. They then undergo a twisting action by means of a rotating fin, to increase their tensile strength, taking the name of rovings and are then collected on bobbins, ready to be fed to the ring spinning machine.
