8. Rectilinear combing machine

The function of the combing machine is to parallelise the fibres, eliminate short fibres below a set length by regulation, eliminate vegetable and residual impurities and buttons. Its use is important for coupling and drafting in order to regularise and reduce the sliver count produced at the outlet.
